Turkey is back…I’ve seen as many as 13,14,20 and more in the last couple of days. They’re everywhere.
Standing up to four feet they can seem very intimidating. Although, they are not here to intimidate. On the other hand, they are here to let us know abundance can come to us at anytime. Yeah!!! Hallelujah!!
My first reaction however is to ask, what’s the catch? You’ll see why as you scroll down.
If the abundance is here then why is it not here? Where is it?
Not to say my life is not rewarding, it is, and I am making money. But when I think of abundance I think of it in a grander scale other than what I have now. So where is that?
The turkey is here to remind us that we can have abundance in many ways.
I think we all know abundance can come in all sorts of ways. But, what we don’t think about is that it is dependent on what we allow to come to us. This is why the Turkey comes.
This lesson came to me in a big way two years ago…. A big Tom took the liberty of killing himself by using my vehicle, gaining my attention to the fact that I don’t allow myself all of the abundance I could have.
After the fact, I learned my thought process keeps me from that.
Obviously, I wasn’t seeing this abundance concept correctly.
This was evident as to where he hit my vehicle.
Smack dab in front of my face.
Well, he sure got my attention that day. This bugger caused a lot of damage to get his point across, and it came to me loud and clear.
What I came away with that day was the awareness that I don’t believe I can acquire more than I am used to having. I know I can acquire more if I want it, but the concept seems to stay right there. In terms of material wealth, I’ve had about the same amount all my life. Some times less, and some times more, but pretty much the same. What became evident that day was that I need to shift my thoughts into me believing that I deserve what I want and knowing it’s not always about the money.
All the dream/vision boards in the world can keep you dreaming, but what really makes the abundance appear is what’s in your heart towards what you think you will allow yourself to have.
Of course there are always those old outdated stories that are being told over and over in your head blatantly hinting towards your worthiness. You may not be ready to acquire all the goodness that this universe has to offer. After all for many years I lived with concepts that seemed to be outdated about my thought process only because I was unwilling to see there could be a better way.
All in all, God sent us the Turkey as a reminder that abundance comes in many ways. Not just money or material, but in all ways that make your heart sing. If you’re happy, but have very little material wise, you still have an abundance.
That day when the Turkey hit my vehicle it made me really look at what I thought abundance was.
Knowing what I know about the Turkey, I was forced to take another look at whether I was really ready to let abundance, in it’s many forms, really come in to my life for good.
Since then I’ve had an appreciation for life I was taking for granted and from that day forward I’ve learned to look at life a little differently.
That day I was made aware of how easily a life could be taken and also that material wealth can be something that is not frowned upon. Afterall this big guy caused a lot of damage to my vehicle costing me over $3700.00 worth of damage. Who would have thought.
However, I did walk away unscathed and with the concept that I am worthy of all of what I want no matter what it is. Tom made me see that directly.
To him I say THANK YOU as I owe him a debt of gratitude for him to choose to lose his life to wake me up a bit more.
